May 2008 to Present: Therapist, Private Practice, Indianapolis, Indiana. Private practice

in mental health specializing in evaluation and management of adolescents and adults with

emotional, social, learning, and behavioral difficulties. Provide individual, group and family

therapy for clients and their families.


June 2001 to April 2008: Therapist, Children's Resource Group, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Private practice in psychology specializing in evaluation and management of children,

adolescents, and young adults with developmental, learning, emotional and behavioral

difficulties. Provide individual, group and family therapy for children, adolescents and their families.



May 1997 to May 2001: Therapist, Eating Disorders Center of Indiana, Indianapolis, Indiana. Provide individual, group and family therapy, as well as Intensive Outpatient Program for adolescents and adults suffering with an eating disorder. Responsible for Outreach Program in community for the education and prevention of eating disorders. Member of Eating Disorder Task Force of Indiana.



July 1995 to March 1997: Therapist, Children's Bureau, Indianapolis, Indiana. Provide ongoing individual, group and family therapy for adolescents in crisis dealing with issues in the following areas: aggressive behavior, suicide, substance abuse, physical/sexual./emotional abuse, truancy/runaway, and eating disorders. Present family workshops on values. Research, organize and conduct fitness programs to measure levels of self-control and self-esteem. Provide assessments, referrals and recommendations to Indiana counties and clients. Educate staff through presentations and weekly team meetings, and serve as an advocate to adolescents and their families.


August 1994 to June 1995: Intern, Julian Center, Indianapolis, Indiana. Provided long-term individual therapy and co-facilitated group therapy meetings. Led staff in-service training, Helping Families Heal, and presented community seminar, Healthy Relationships, at Noblesville Public Library.


May 1994 to August 1994: Intern, Methodist Hospital of Indiana, Indianapolis, Indiana. Co-facilitated individual, group and family substance abuse programs.


August 1993 to December 1993: Intern in the Psychiatric Unit of University Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. Gained experience in admission and discharge planning, psycho-social assessment, individual and family counseling, and group therapy. Conducted extensive research and intervention on patient with multiple diagnoses.
 

January 1993 to April 1993: Intern, Indiana Police Department, Victim Assistance Unit, Indianapolis, Indiana. Learning experiences included crisis intervention, home visits, and follow-up calls. Acted as an advocate for clients during prosecution processes.
